The Post Game Show

I swear, I'm getting around to it...

I've currently got a lot of irons in the fire as far as my career goes and hopefully some other things, so I really haven't had time to sit and blog real deep like I want to, but I will clue you guys in on something I'm thinking about doing, and that's establishing another blog devoted solely to the sports world and my opinions on it. I welcome all suggestions for names and such, so don't be shy. The Post Game Show was intended to be a sports blog (the archives will let you know about that), but as time wore on and I met more bloggers who were interested in my personal writing, it became what it is, and I certainly don't begrudge that (it helped me make some friends!), but I've got to get back to the business of sports. The Post Game Show will be where my thoughts on life lie, but this other spot will of course be all sports all the time.

In the meantime, I leave you with another YouTube gem that will really have Jameil hating me, LOL. Enjoy.

Where Have You Gone, Chris Stevens?

Well, this is just a brief post to let those in the blogisphere know that Chris is alive and well and patiently waiting for a high speed connection back home, but to update you briefly on life, it goes a lil somethin like this;

My weight officially starts with a 2 again, as I found out on 08/01, which means I've lost 77 pounds total, 16 of which came off in July and now I'm trying not to gain it all back by being at home. I'll be glad when I can get back on my normal eating and workout schedule. Having to drive to DSU every damn day to finish these last two classes has really put me in a rut.

As far as the classes, my final day is tomorrow. One final, one paper, one revised senior audit, and lord willing, one degree.

Home life hasn't killed me yet, but the little annoyances that I feared are starting to come to the surface and I'm hoping I can get a job or something before it lingers too long and all hell breaks loose.

Speaking of jobs, I may have to go the freelance route while I'm home and apply for this doggone three month internship folks are pressing me to apply for. I'm not too fond of being 26 and a temp sports writer, but I guess we'll see what happens.

Money in my pocket again means I can start the car hunt one mo' gin, but it won't do any good if I'm scared to pick up the phone and call any of the numbers off the for sale signs that I wrote down, now will it?

Today marks five months since I last got lucky. It'll be longer unless I hurry up and get out of the house ASAP.

No Vegas for me, and I'm sad about it. More on that in a mega-post that's brewing in my brain once I get the net at home.

That's pretty much it for now, so to all my folks in Vegas, pour one out for your boy, but know that I am not missing NABJ in vain. To the rest of you, I'll see y'all around.
